Take Melatonin, we actually make it ourselves, but as time passes we make less and less. For me it is very helpful and gives me lovely dreams.
It is just a supplement.
First, I hope you are at a terminal today. There is a 14 Causes of Poor Sleep on the Yahoo homepage. It would be worth your time to look at pictures with comments. Women seem to have a higher risk factor profile for insomnia. I would underscore that you have to turn off all the lights and not eat a heavy meal close to your bedtime. Please check out the 14 Causes segment on your Yahoo homepage.
In addition to not eating heavy meals close to your bedtime, the lower the room temperature in the room that you sleep in the higher the chance is that you will have bad dreams…I cant say how true this is but its something I learned the other day…give it a try. Also your body gets the best rest between the hours of 10PM and 6AM, if you can get in a routine to sleep during those hours you will feel a thousand times more rested throughout the entire day. Good luck!
Whatever it is that’s bubbling up in your unconscious mind may need to come out in a safe therapeutic environment. Is therapy an option for you?
