Homeopathic Treatment of Narcolepsy

I was reading a post on a narcolepsy forum about a lady who was treated for narcolepsy with homeopathy. She obviously had no understanding of homeopathy and unfortunately rated her homeopathic treatment as a failure. She swallowed a whole bottle of the pills and because she didn’t die from the overdose, she gave homeopathy the thumbs down.

She didn’t appear to be suicidal, so exactly why she swallowed the entire bottle of pills is hard to fathom. It is very sad to think that someone with such a debilitating disease as narcolepsy, would rather spend her entire life on crude drugs which only offer palliation, and propping up. Narcolepsy is rated as an incurable condition by the medical profession , the only option for the patient being prescription drugs.

Unfortunately this lady’s post about her opinion of homeopathy could perhaps deter others with this condition from seeking help from an homeopath.

Homeopathy is energy medicine, it doesn’t have the crude side effects of prescription drugs, that is the beauty of homeopathy. This lady took a whole bottle of her pills, and because she didn’t die, she claimed her homeopathic treatment to be nothing but placebo medicine. What she didn’t understand was that one pill, 20 pills or the whole bottle of pills taken at the same time adds up to one dose only.

However, if you take just one of those pills and place it in a glass of water and stir , and then sip from it throughout the day, you will be taking as many doses of the medicine as the number of sips you take from the glass.

  • I am very surprise to know that homeopathy can treat narcolepsy.

  • Hi,

    Thanks for visiting..
Homeopathy treats the whole person, the dis-ease in the patient, the central disturbance. The name of the disease is not of concern to the homeopath, it’s the presenting symptoms, how the patient reacts to their symptoms, what tends to make the symptoms worse, and what eases the symptoms. It is very unlikely that two people with narcolepsy would be given the same remedy, because homeopathy is concerned with the individual and how they react to their environment. It’s not a one size fits all. Sure I mentioned that nux moschata might be a possible treatment for narcolepsy, but that is only if the remedy fitted the individual.
Homoepathy is energy medicine, it treats the central disturbance in the patient, and if a suitable remedy is chosen, the patient will begin to feel better, even though their narcolepsy may still be present, healing takes place from within to the outer.

  • I, just stumbled onto this website. I was never a fan of homeopathic cures, never used any of it, have been said by many a profetional to use certain things, just always shook my head thinking herbs will never help. I was diagnosed with narcolepsy on tuesday (22 June) and was said to take Ritalin, which im sure will help, but my Mom’s boss asked if I was willing to try a homeopathic syrup call quietude. have been drinking it for 2 days, and wow, the diffrence is amazing. i actually had a good nights rest last night, dont think I’v ever had that, and during the day Im alert, awake and I can concentrate. So this is my 10c worth. It works for me.
