Does lack of sleep make your eyes sensitive to light?

robbief25 asked:

I have not been able to sleep for a few days, and i fell the usual groggy effects of not having enough sleep. but i was wondering if lack of sleep makes light brighter then what it really is.

  • if i dont get enough sleep, ive noticed bright light seems to really hurt my eyes more than it ought. especially like, driving at night if you accidently glance at headlights, owies :(

  • yes if u do not get enough sleep the light will be real sensitive to ur eyes… u need to start getting sleep because it is bad for ur health

  • . Lack of sleep is like being drunk;’ it slows down the bodies reflexes.
So the eyes can’t close the iris/lens opening as fast as normal.
